Welcome
to 1804 Laurel ave
Tucked among the trees and kissed by coastal breezes, Holiday in the Trees at 1804 Laurel Avenue is a tranquil retreat where timeless tradition meets thoughtfully tailored design. Custom built in 2018 and envisioned by designer Lisa Oberst in collaboration with architect Mark Trotter, this 3,250-square-foot residence embraces a transitional style enriched by classic, enduring elements. Throughout the home, wall textiles from Phillip Jeffries introduce subtle texture and warmth, culminating in the primary suite, where suede wall coverings, a Ralph Lauren chandelier, a leather-wrapped dresser, shagreen nightstands, and soft brass accents create an atmosphere of quiet luxury. The homeowners’ favorite refuge is the private veranda off the primary bedroom…a peaceful perch where ocean breezes drift through the treetops and the sound of waves offers an effortless calm. Bedrooms along the west side share this serene connection to the coast, reinforcing the home’s natural harmony with its surroundings.
From the beginning, the designer and homeowners spent countless hours together, uncovering what this family values most, how they live, what they love, and how they want to feel in their space. The goal was to create a jewel box of a home, where no detail was overlooked and no square foot went to waste.
The guest suite includes a daughter’s bedroom inspired by her love of horses, featuring leather-wrapped Made Goods nightstands with bone details, a natural hair-on-hide bench, and a bath finished in pink quartzite, Zellige tile, and Ann Sacks mosaic flooring—an elegant blend of whimsy and refinement. Practical luxury is woven seamlessly throughout the home: a dual-purpose pantry and home office concealed behind pocket doors with custom wire-mesh glass, a dedicated dog-feeding station in the laundry room, and an upstairs laundry chute that delivers clothes directly below.
With its blend of coastal ease, equestrian elegance, and impeccably crafted details, Holiday in the Trees is a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
